All parents of Troop 132 Scouts are encouraged to attend training courses. If several parents are interested in the same class, we can ask about having a session right in Upton. Youth Protection Training - The troop requests that any adult going on troop events, overnights especially, complete this training. The training is available online at www.mohegancouncilbsa.org under "Youth Protection Training Online". If you have a member number please enter it and in ~ 48 hours you will receive an email with the certificate, print out or email the certificate/card to the Troop Committee Chairperson for our records. If you don't have a member number you can still take the training on-line. You just need to let a committee member know that you took the training so that they can follow up with council to be sure you are on their list. If the online option is not suitable for you, or if you have any questions concerning the online course, please contact a Troop Committee member. We are striving to have 100% of the adults trained that have contact with the boys. It is in everyone's best interest. |
