The ranks of Star, Life and Eagle all have specific requirements with respect to time, merit
badges, leadership and service hours. All service hours must be approved by the Scoutmaster
prior to beginning them. All leadership positions have specific responsibilities which the Scout
must complete in order to be given credit for the leadership requirement. The Scout must attend
at least one troop function per month. This is the time when a Scout is asked to give back to the
Troop what the Troop has given him by sharing his knowledge and experiences with other
Scouts.
Each requirement for Star, Life and Eagle may only be signed by the Scoutmaster.
After all requirements for Star, Life and Eagle are completed and signed, a Scoutmaster conference
must occur with the Scout. It is the Scout's responsibility to contact the Scoutmaster and set up an
appointment for a conference.
