"Advancement speaks to us about our troop."
Troop 132 Advancement Goals:
- Ensure that each boy is steadily advancing in the troop at his own pace.
- Provide a fair and consistent environment and measurement for the boys to
advance. (this means that everyone fairly earns their rank)
- Ensure that a clear path is defined and well communicated for the boys to
advance. (This includes the policies, approved service projects, etc.)
- Visibly recognize and reward each boy's advancement
Every boy in our troop has been asked to set an advancement goal for the year. Our troop will
work to provide the support for each boy to achieve his own advancement goals by providing
opportunities, guidance, and encouragement.
We will monitor every boy's advancement each month. In each patrol the patrol scribe is
responsible for keeping track of the advancement within the patrol. Our Troop Scribe is
responsible for rolling up the troop's advancement and informing the PLC (Patrol Leaders
Council) of progress toward our goals.
